In 2016, Columbia University has begun to upgrade CourseWorks from a Sakai-based Learning Management System (LMS) to one powered by Canvas. We anticipate the transition will be complete at the end of 2017. Both systems will be available during the transition period.

Barnard is Transitioning to Canvas
The Barnard Library and Academic Information Services and the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) are happy to be supporting you and your department as you make the transition from Sakai to Canvas. The new system will continue to be called CourseWorks and the new courses will be available at courseworks.columbia.edu. We want to help make this transition as smooth as possible and hope to work with you to plan a transition that works best for you. (See contacts in the left column.)
