Emmy (she/hers) is a Graduate Research Assistant focusing on Generative AI at IMATS. She holds a B.A. in Engineering Sciences with a secondary in Educational Studies from Harvard University, where she began her work in multimodal education and curriculum development as a Media and Design Fellow at the Derek Bok Center’s Learning Lab. Currently pursuing an M.A. in Instructional Technology and Media at Teachers College, Emmy has also been a research assistant at the Digital Futures Institute. Her research focuses on the ethical and innovative implementation of AI in instructional design, with a recent interest in integrating AI in embodied learning settings, such as museums and makerspaces. When she’s not engaged in AI and education research, Emmy enjoys dancing flamenco, a lifelong passion of hers, and generally exploring how movement intersects with technology.
